Animal Classes for everyone!
Along with our partner Pawsitively Pets, The Zoo Crew is pleased to announce new classes and programs for kids of all ages that will run during the 2019-20 school year.
The following programs will be available in the fall. Programs will allow children the opportunity to explore the animal world. Each week our classes will cover a different theme and children will have the chance to interact with animals hands-on ranging from the small and furry to the soft, scaly, slimy and even some more exotic animal friends.
Animal Care and Trainer - 6 week program
This unique program will give children the opportunity to spend with all sorts of animals, to develop the important skills of animal care and explore the responsibility animals require. New to 2018 we have added some basic training skills which allow us to explore how positive reinforcement training can shape behaviour quickly. They will be working on trick with our ducks, bunnies and rats.
Each class will include a 90 minute animal education class where we will learn in depth about different animals that live at our site and cover trick training with clicker for 3 different animals.
Available for children ages 6-12 years old

Monday's 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Cost $135/6 week session. Sibling 25% off. All fees subject to HST
Winter Session - to be announced
Toddler Preschool Class - 6 week program
Children attend our 60 minute class programs with their parent or caregiver. Our program provides children with the opportunity to grow and create a connection with animals, providing educational programming that can be used to teach independence, responsibility and empathy. Each differently themed class includes a story, music, a craft and lots of hands on opportunities
Themes include - What do I eat? How do I move? How do I take a bath? and more
Available for children ages 1- 4
