The Zoo Crew hosts camps in the Ottawa area through Pawsitively Pets, a Toronto based organization. We take advantage of the powerful camp database website used by Pawsitively Pets to secure all camper data so you will be directed to the Pawsitively Pets website for all camper registrations.

Winter Break Camp
Animal Adventures for Kids Ages 4–12!
Hands-on animal encounters, themed career days, crafts & outdoor play — the perfect way to spend winter break.
What your child will do at Winter Break Camp:

Career of the Day
Dec 22 – Veterinarian Day (Crazy Socks Day)
Learn how vets examine animals, check heartbeats, and keep pets healthy.
Dec 23 – Pet Nutritionist Day (PJ Day)
Discover what different animals eat and create pretend diet plans.
Dec 29 – Animal Presenter Day (Sunglasses Day)
Practice handling props, sharing animal facts, and presenting “shows” to the class.
Dec 30 – Pet Groomer Day (Funky Hat Day)
Explore brushing, nail care, coat types, and fun grooming-themed activities

Camp hours are 9am-4pm.
Open drop-off from 8:30am-9:00am and open pick-up from 4:00pm-4:30pm
Extended Care is available from 4:30pm-5:30pm for $15/day

What does my child need to bring?
Please send your child with:

A peanut-free lunch

Two peanut-free snacks

Indoor shoes

A water bottle

Weather-appropriate outdoor clothing (we go outside daily, weather permitting)

Label everything if possible — it helps us keep items organized and returned.
Do you provide lunch or snacks?
No - families must pack a peanut-free lunch and two peanut-free snacks each day. We are a nut-aware camp and appreciate your help keeping all campers safe.
Will my child get to touch the animals?
Yes! Every single animal we bring can be touched — if your child wants to.All interactions are supervised, optional, and designed to be safe, gentle, and confidence-building.
